The benefits of BIM can be clearly seen in the previous sections, combining modern day technology with traditional skill sets from the various industries. Architects and Interior Designers have adopted the use of BIM into their work, recognising the value of having 3D as-built models that can create the accurate and distortion-free 2D drawings that are essential for them in their daily work. This greatly enhances the pre-project planning, detecting errors and disparities way beforehand, and reducing the chances of having unwanted surprises later on.

3D Laser Scanning is the exact tool to document these places with speed and accuracy, supporting the use of the BIM workflow by subsequently creating the 3D as-built model. The post-processed point cloud data, which is the data that is obtained from the laser scanner, can be exported into programmes such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Microstation and other CAD platforms familiar to Architects and Interior Designers alike.

Rest assure that with Aries Geomatics, we will be able to utilise our expertise and experience in laser scanning to support your various project requirements.
